The 3rd Battalion RAR have been posted (2011) from Holsworthy, New South Wales
to Queensland.

The annual and very popular Kapyong Day Parade held at the Holsworthy barracks
will no longer occur on the 24th April annually.

An alternative annual arrangement may be forthcoming so please revisit the www.3rar.com internet site for updates as they come to hand.

At this time the suggestion might be to meet on a Friday evening for dinner someplace in Sydney to allow a meeting for fellowship with friends.

Saturday could be a Sydney Harbour Cruise with possibly a live show suggested in the evening. Attendees traveling distances to be in Sydney for the gathering will appreciate coordinating events in Sydney to allow wives to enjoy the weekend as much as the former 3 RAR members.

Sunday might include a Memorial Service possibly the Hyde Park Cenotaph and then a semi formal lunch some place close by and central. All this happening in the CBD of Sydney possibly within walking distances. The CBD of Sydney is favored
offering easy public transport from any direction and
the abundance of accommodation styles and a diversity of attractions
especially for those traveling to Sydney for this event.

In the mean time all former members, friends and associates of the
3rd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment are invited
to contact the webmaster and provide your personal details
for notices on this event.

This event will occur under the 3 RAR Corporation Queensland banner
but will have a (proposed) NSW Sub Branch connection.

3 RAR Corporation members, family, friends and others are welcome
to attend . Current members of the 3rd Battalion Royal
Australian Regiment will receive updates via the Journal, email and
Australia Post letters.

This NSW event incorporates Canberra

Interstate members and friends of the 3 RAR Corporation
and the 3 RAR SA Association will all be welcome.
Former members of the 3rd Battalion RAR from any campaign or
service dates are all welcome.

Planning for this first time event will require exact numbers. If the event
proves successful, it will become an annual event.
